This Privacy Policy explains how DilWill collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data collected through the website, app, customer support, advertising interfaces, verification flows, and any other interaction with DilWill.

2. Roles

DilWill acts as a data fiduciary for personal data processed for its services, subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

3. Personal Data Collected

We may collect name, phone number, email, gender, date of birth, marital status, religion, community, education, profession, income range, location, family details, preferences, photographs, identity verification details, and communications exchanged on the platform.

4. Purpose of Processing

We process data for account creation, matchmaking, search and discovery, verification, safety, fraud detection, moderation, support, legal compliance, billing, analytics, and service improvement.

5. Sensitive Matrimony Data

Where data includes religion, community, marital status, photographs, identity documents, or other sensitive profile information, it will be processed only for legitimate matrimonial and verification purposes and only to the extent necessary. 

6. Legal Basis and Consent

Where consent is required, it will be sought in clear, specific, informed, and affirmative form before processing begins. You may withdraw consent in accordance with the Consent Policy.

7. Sharing of Data

We may share data with other users according to your profile visibility settings, with service providers, verification vendors, support tools, payment processors, legal authorities, and other recipients where required by law. 

8. Profile Visibility

Certain profile fields may be visible to other users based on your settings and the services you use. You control some disclosures through privacy settings, but some basic profile fields may be necessary for the service. 

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for service delivery, compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or lawful record-keeping, and thereafter delete or anonymize it where feasible.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

11. Cross-Border Transfer

If any personal data is processed outside India, it will be handled only in accordance with applicable Indian law and internal transfer safeguards.

12. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, completion, update, erasure, consent withdrawal, and grievance redressal, subject to lawful exceptions.

13. Children’s Data

DilWill is not intended for children. Female users below 18 and male users below 21 are prohibited. We do not knowingly collect or process child data for matrimonial purposes.

14. Updates

We may amend this Policy from time to time, and the updated version will be posted with a revised date. 


Consent Policy

1. Clear Consent

DilWill will obtain clear consent before collecting or using personal data for registration, verification, matchmaking, messaging, analytics where required, marketing where  required, and sharing beyond what is necessary.

2. Separate Consent Choices

Consent will be separated into distinct choices wherever possible, especially for profile visibility, contact sharing, marketing, and optional verification.

3. Specific Purposes

Consent will describe the exact purposes of processing and not use vague or bundled permissions. 

4. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw consent at any time through account settings, support request, or any other method we specify. Withdrawal will not affect processing already lawfully done before withdrawal. 

5. Effect of Withdrawal

If you withdraw consent for certain core data, some services may no longer be available, such as matchmaking, profile discovery, or communication features.

6. Record of Consent

We may record consent choices, timestamps, and consent status for compliance and audit purposes.

7. Consent for Marketing

Promotional messages, offers, and campaigns will be sent only where consent is obtained or where law otherwise permits.

8. Consent for Verification

Where you submit identity documents or photographs for verification, you consent to their use solely for verification, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes. 



DPDP Compliance Policy


1. Compliance Commitment

DilWill will process digital personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, notifications, and guidance. 

2. Data Principal Rights

DilWill will provide mechanisms for access to personal data summaries, correction, completion, update, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination-related requests where applicable. 

3. Data Principal Duties

Users must not impersonate others, submit false or frivolous complaints, conceal material information when required for identity or verification, or provide unverified data as authentic when seeking correction or erasure. 

4. Purpose Limitation

Data will be used only for matrimonial platform functions, user safety, moderation, verification, legal compliance, and related lawful purposes. 

5. Data Minimisation

We will collect only the data reasonably required for service operation and will avoid unnecessary data collection. 

6. Retention Limitation

We will retain data only for as long as needed for the specified purpose, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.

7. Processor Controls

Where vendors process personal data on our behalf, they will do so under contractual and security obligations consistent with DPDP requirements.

8. Breach and Security Handling

We will maintain internal safeguards, incident response processes, and records of material security events as required by law. 

9. Special Category Sensitivity

Because matrimonial data may reveal religion, family background, preferences, and identity documents, additional care will be applied to access control, visibility, and retention.
