This Policy applies to personal data collected through the website, app, customer support, advertising interfaces, verification flows, and any other interaction with DilWill.
DilWill acts as a data fiduciary for personal data processed for its services, subject to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
We may collect name, phone number, email, gender, date of birth, marital status, religion, community, education, profession, income range, location, family details, preferences, photographs, identity verification details, and communications exchanged on the platform.
We process data for account creation, matchmaking, search and discovery, verification, safety, fraud detection, moderation, support, legal compliance, billing, analytics, and service improvement.
Where data includes religion, community, marital status, photographs, identity documents, or other sensitive profile information, it will be processed only for legitimate matrimonial and verification purposes and only to the extent necessary.
Where consent is required, it will be sought in clear, specific, informed, and affirmative form before processing begins. You may withdraw consent in accordance with the Consent Policy.
We may share data with other users according to your profile visibility settings, with service providers, verification vendors, support tools, payment processors, legal authorities, and other recipients where required by law.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for service delivery, compliance, dispute handling, fraud prevention, or lawful record-keeping, and thereafter delete or anonymize it where feasible.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
If any personal data is processed outside India, it will be handled only in accordance with applicable Indian law and internal transfer safeguards.
You may request access, correction, completion, update, erasure, consent withdrawal, and grievance redressal, subject to lawful exceptions.
DilWill is not intended for children. Female users below 18 and male users below 21 are prohibited. We do not knowingly collect or process child data for matrimonial purposes.
We may amend this Policy from time to time, and the updated version will be posted with a revised date.
DilWill will obtain clear consent before collecting or using personal data for registration, verification, matchmaking, messaging, analytics where required, marketing where required, and sharing beyond what is necessary.
Consent will describe the exact purposes of processing and not use vague or bundled permissions.
You may withdraw consent at any time through account settings, support request, or any other method we specify. Withdrawal will not affect processing already lawfully done before withdrawal.
If you withdraw consent for certain core data, some services may no longer be available, such as matchmaking, profile discovery, or communication features.
We may record consent choices, timestamps, and consent status for compliance and audit purposes.
Promotional messages, offers, and campaigns will be sent only where consent is obtained or where law otherwise permits.
Where you submit identity documents or photographs for verification, you consent to their use solely for verification, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes.
DilWill will process digital personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, notifications, and guidance.
DilWill will provide mechanisms for access to personal data summaries, correction, completion, update, erasure, grievance redressal, and nomination-related requests where applicable.
3. Data Principal Duties
Users must not impersonate others, submit false or frivolous complaints, conceal material information when required for identity or verification, or provide unverified data as authentic when seeking correction or erasure.
4. Purpose Limitation
Data will be used only for matrimonial platform functions, user safety, moderation, verification, legal compliance, and related lawful purposes.
5. Data Minimisation
We will collect only the data reasonably required for service operation and will avoid unnecessary data collection.
6. Retention Limitation
We will retain data only for as long as needed for the specified purpose, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention.
Where vendors process personal data on our behalf, they will do so under contractual and security obligations consistent with DPDP requirements.
We will maintain internal safeguards, incident response processes, and records of material security events as required by law.
Because matrimonial data may reveal religion, family background, preferences, and identity documents, additional care will be applied to access control, visibility, and retention.
